Which devices are compatible?
The EllenDoc is designed for cell phones and tablets with Android 7 or higher. Performance may vary depending on memory, storage and device resources. The scanner uses Google Play Services.
How do I open a document?
Choose the EllenDoc from the “Open with” or “Share with” menu of the Android, or use the file chooser within the application. You can open PDF, DOCX, XLSX, PPTX, TXT, images, ZIP and RAR compatible.
How do I find a file?
Use search to search by name and, in supported formats, by content. The home screen also keeps your recent documents close at hand.
How do I use the digital wallet?
Use your digital wallet to gather and organize the documents you frequently consult, keeping these items easy to find on your phone.
How do I use the scanner?
Open the scanner, square the pages and apply the desired adjustments. You can generate a PDF and use the Ellen Magic Fix to improve the visual presentation of the image.
What can I do with PDFs?
In addition to viewing, you can annotate, draw a signature, sign locally with an A1 digital certificate in P12/PFX formats, save a copy, share and print.
How do ZIP and RAR work?
EllenDoc opens and extracts ZIP and RAR files. It also creates ZIP files to gather multiple documents into one package.
How do I configure Vault?
Create your PIN, activate biometrics if desired and organize files by divisions. You can import documents or scan directly to the Vault.
What is the difference between PIN and recovery password?
The PIN opens the Vault on the device. The recovery password opens the backup package. They are different secrets and must be kept separately.
How do I backup?
With Vault open, choose a folder from the official Android selector and set a recovery password. The package is encrypted before being delivered to the chosen folder, including in Google Drive when available.
Why doesn't the restore option appear?
Restore only appears when a local Vault does not exist. This protection prevents a backup from overwriting documents that are already on the device.
How do I take my Vault to another cell phone?
Confirm that you have a backup and recovery password. On the new device, before creating a Vault, choose restore, select the package and set a new PIN.
The scanner did not open. What to do?
Confirm that Google Play Services is installed and updated. On first use, the Android may need to download the scanner component.
A document opened with differences in layout
Very specific fonts or resources may vary in complex files. Save a copy to PDF in the source application when you need to preserve the final appearance exactly.
How do I delete documents and backups?
Remove files via EllenDoc or clear app data via Settings Android. Backups saved on Google Drive or another provider must be deleted in the chosen folder. See the guide Delete data.
